* Highlight texture, layering, and materiality to enhance the sensory experience.
* Reflect the brand’s duality of raw authenticity (pulp) and refined craftsmanship (atelier).
* Communicate the value of paper as both a design material and an emotional medium.
BRIEF
The task was to design a mail-safe paper stock sample using a single Pantone colour. Instead of a traditional flat brochure, the project reimagined the sample as a premium, gift-like brand experience — intentional, luxurious, and sophisticated.
CONCEPT & APPROACH
The identity of Pulp Atelier is built on duality: “pulp” captures the raw, tactile essence of paper-making, while “atelier” conveys craftsmanship, refinement, and artistry. Together, these ideas form a paper brand that balances substance and style — presenting paper not as a disposable material, but as a medium of creative expression.
Drawing inspiration from the joy and ritual of gift-giving, the packaging was designed to evoke a sense of anticipation and delight. From the embossed logo to the cut-out window details and layered compartments, every element contributed to a tactile unboxing experience. The box became more than a container — it embodied the brand’s philosophy: intentional, elegant, and enduring.

OUTCOME
What could have been an ordinary promotional piece became a complete sensory experience. Every detail — from material choices to typography and structural design — reinforced the values of quality, care, and intentionality. Pulp Atelier transcends the boundaries of traditional paper branding, redefining the sample as an object of beauty, curiosity, and meaning.
