BRIEF
Design a magazine for the Textile Institute Fashion Australia using typography as the sole visual element—no imagery.

CONCEPT & APPROACH
Inspired by screen printing and textile processes, this project explores how type can be both expressive and tactile. Drawing from my background in textile design, I treated each page as a surface for experimentation—layering, repeating, and distorting type to capture the hands-on nature of printmaking. The aim was to translate the energy and imperfection of screen printing into a purely typographic language, where words become texture, pattern, and rhythm.

OUTCOME
The final magazine celebrates the intersection of typography and textile design. Through scale, repetition, and layering, it transforms type into a visual fabric—demonstrating that text alone can convey materiality, movement, and mood.
